Star Wars Jedi: Survivor lets you remove spiders entirely with arachnophobia feature

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Developer Respawn Entertainment shared new details for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and how it protects folks that are scared of spiders.

The game is launching with an arachnophobia mode which when toggled – completely removes the spider-like creatures from the game (via Daily Jedi Survivor). It remains unclear what enemies are put in their place.

Fans of the original Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order that are also deathly scared of spiders were apparently tormented when seeing the Wyyyschokk, giant spiders that live on the Wookie homeworld of Kashyyyk.

Now they can play leisurely knowing digital spiders won’t give them nightmares though I leave you with a parting gift of knowledge that Wyyyschokk eggs are apparently used to make Kashyyyk cake.

This isn’t the first game to introduce such a feature to protect folks triggered by eight-legged creatures – the evil slaying shooter Evil West also let you toggle out the spiders. You know, in between killing actual demons from hell.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is set to launch on April 28th across Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
